Mossman sit in with Camerata
MOSSMAN High School students were lucky enough to be able to sit and listen to Camerata, Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra.
The group of performers were amazing, highlighting the talent that exists in Queensland. As part of the performance, some of our students were up on stage, joining these professional musicians to play David Guetta’s famous song Titanium. It was an amazing experience for these students as they were able to play with some of the best musicians in the state, and they did Mossman SHS proud. There were some wonderful highlights, including a story written with music to accompany it, showcasing the ability music has to provide emotions and background to events, people and even seasons. To finish the concert off, the Chamber Orchestra played an AC/DC medley which had many students clapping and stamping their feet.
A big thank you must go to Jenny Guyatt who spent an enormous amount of time organising and preparing for Camerata’s visit. Jenny is a dedicated music teacher, and has had such a big impact on many students’ high school experiences.
Thank you as well to Camerata for visiting the school and providing such a wonderful concert for all of Mossman State High School.
