Big­gest Morn­ing Tea com­ing to Bowls Club

THE Moss­man Port Dou­glas Vol­un­teer Branch will host Aus­tralia’s Big­gest Morn­ing Tea to raise funds for the Can­cer Coun­cil.

Jen­nellda Har­low, also chair of Moss­man Port Dou­glas Vol­un­teer Branch, has been rais­ing her cup to fight con­trib­ute to the fight against can­cer for 13 years.

Ms Har­low en­cour­aged the com­mu­nity come along and show their sup­port for the cause.

“We have a great morn­ing planned – with de­li­cious morn­ing tea, en­ter­tain­ment, cent sales, raf­fles, games and more,” she said.

Aus­tralia’s Big­gest Morn­ing Tea is on Satur­day, May 27, from 9am to 12pm at the Moss­man Bowls Club Hall. Door en­try is $5 per per­son.

At­ten­dees are en­cour­aged to bring along their favourite tea cup, spoon, tea towel or item re­lated to a morn­ing tea to share.

Can­cer Coun­cil CEO Ms Chris McMil­lan said ev­ery cup counted in the fight against can­cer.

“Sup­port­ing Aus­tralia’s Big­gest Morn­ing Tea is an easy, fun de­li­cious way that we can work to­gether to help beat can­cer and sup­port those af­fected,” Ms McMil­lan said.
