Biggest Morning Tea coming to Bowls Club
THE Mossman Port Douglas Volunteer Branch will host Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to raise funds for the Cancer Council.
Jennellda Harlow, also chair of Mossman Port Douglas Volunteer Branch, has been raising her cup to fight contribute to the fight against cancer for 13 years.
Ms Harlow encouraged the community come along and show their support for the cause.
“We have a great morning planned – with delicious morning tea, entertainment, cent sales, raffles, games and more,” she said.
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is on Saturday, May 27, from 9am to 12pm at the Mossman Bowls Club Hall. Door entry is $5 per person.
Attendees are encouraged to bring along their favourite tea cup, spoon, tea towel or item related to a morning tea to share.
Cancer Council CEO Ms Chris McMillan said every cup counted in the fight against cancer.
“Supporting Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is an easy, fun delicious way that we can work together to help beat cancer and support those affected,” Ms McMillan said.
