Port’s ready to party!

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FRONT PAGE -

THERE’S been a circus atmosphere in Port Douglas, leading up to the official beginning of Carnivale tomorrow.

The renowned Longest Lunch heralds the start of festivities, followed by the muchloved annual street parade.

The three-day Carnivale offers something for everyone.

Kids can delight in the fun and novelty on a railway theatre experience with Audrey Cuttlebuttle’s Great Bally Hooley Escape, the Children are Stinky Show show at the Spiegeltent and superstar Lah Lah.

And of course the Beach Family Day on Saturday, on Four Mile Beach from 11 am to 3 pm.

(Note — GBR Helicopters’ lollidrop is 2 pm!)

For older folk, La Soiree has wowed audiences in the Spiegeltent all week, with more shows this weekend. Carlotta is back. And the burlesque highlight, Sensuale, crowns Saturday night at the tent.

Wrap up your weekend of partying in paradise at the Fishermen’s Village Music Festival where it’s tunes and food galore.

There’s plenty to see and do, including free events such as the photo exhibition at the community centre.
