Slattery to leave Mill

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS -

HAYDN Slattery has resigned from his position as general manager of the Mossman Mill, effective June 16.

Mr Slattery and his family are relocating to Brisbane where he will take on a role with a national manufacturing business.

He started with Mossman Central Mill in 2009 and had progressed to deputy general manager – operations when in June 2012 Mackay Sugar bought the Mill.

In a statement to employees, Mackay Sugar said Mr Slattery “has been instrumental in the integration process of the Mossman business into Mackay Sugar since acquisition and returning Mossman to a continuous operation.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Haydn for his commitment to Mackay Sugar and wish him every success in his future ventures.”
