Motorsport Club grateful to pharmacy program
THE Douglas Shire Motor Sports Association recently received $500 from LiveLife Pharmacies as part of their LiveLife Community Support Program.
Launched in July 2016, the program is run across 10 regions in Queensland and New South Wales and to date has provided more than $70,000 in funding to community groups.
Monica Staal from the LiveLife Pharmacy Group said “Each month two community groups are chosen to receive funds from their local LiveLife Pharmacies and in store LiveLife customers are asked to select, by way of tokens, which community group will receive the highest amount of funding in that month.
“LiveLife Pharmacies are also able to promote the efforts of the local community groups to customers shopping with LiveLife Pharmacies,” she said.
In April the Douglas Shire Motor Sports Association was one of the community groups promoted and received $500 .
“On behalf of the club I would like to thank LiveLife Pharmacies for their donation via their Community Support Program,” said president Bob Errey. “Being a smaller sporting club, it can be hard to raise funds necessary to keep the club running.
“Earlier this year the slasher that we use to maintain our track died and so we are looking to buy another one. They don’t come cheap so this money will certainly help with that purchase.”
Community groups looking to participate in the Community Support program can nominate their groups via the LiveLife Pharmacy website.
