IRONMAN ACTION,

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FRONT PAGE -

LOCALS and visitors lined the northern end of Macrossan St on Sunday as the first of the Ironman riders showed up just after 11 am. The crowds cheered them on and many of the athletes nodded their appreciation, while carefully negotiating the turnaround which easily claims tired or sloppy riders. Ahead of them was the journey back to Cairns – and back again to Port. Well done to all the competitors, they certainly earned the respect of those witnessed their efforts.
