Travel guide bestows charter gong on Indigo
LOCAL charter Indigo Port Douglas has full sails at the moment.
Business is booming and the tour operation has just been awarded Charter of the Year (Australasia) by the prestigious Luxury Travel Guide.
“We’re proud and excited to win this award,” said director and skipper Colin Simpson.
“Being a small, family operated business means we can ensure a high standard of service and hospitality on which we pride ourselves.”
Mr Simpson said the charter enjoys a high number of repeat visitors, and the small group size fosters unique experiences.
The charter goes to Low Isles and other spots like Snapper Island, mostly for snorkelling.
Even before peak season kicks in, Indigo is powering along.
“We’ve been crazy busy. It’s the best I’ve seen,” Mr Simpson said.
“I think the coming season is going to be really good.”
