A sin­gle ve­hi­cle crash into a power pole on Cap­tain Cook High­way just north of Port Dou­glas on June 24 left a 65year-old old M os­s­man woman with abra­sions and dis­lo­ca­tions. Sshe was taken to Moss­man hos­pi­tal sta­ble con­di­tion. Power lines lay over the high­way for a time and the road was closed for un­til Er­gon cleared the wires. There was a three ve­hi­cle traf­fic crash about 5 km north of El­lis Beach on Cap­tain Cook High­way on June 24 just around 9:30 am. At 5 pm a car ran into a tree on John­ston Rd, Moss­man. Two chil­dren, aged 9 and 6, were taken to Moss­man Hos­pi­tal with mi­nor in­juries. The 9-year-old was later taken to Cairns Base Hos­pi­tal. On June 23 a 27-yearold Cairns mo­tor­bike rider from Cairns crashed into an em­bank­ment on the Cap­tain Cook High­way north of Tur­tle Cove re­sort at 10:24 am. He suf­fered lac­er­a­tions and bruis­ing and was taken to Moss­man hos­pi­tal. On the same day, a fe­male was taken to Moss­man hos­pi­tal with mi­nor in­juries af­ter a three-ve­hi­cle traf­fic crash on Ocean View Rd at Bon­nie Doon.
