Crocs cruise to another huge victory

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - SPORT -

IN greasy, wet conditions, the Port Douglas Crocs dominated last Saturday’s game at Watson Park.

The depleted North Tigers offered token resistance as Brad Cooper’s side marched on to another emphatic win.

The undefeated Crocs kicked 32 goals to the outclassed Tiger’s 4.

There was never going to be a genuine contest as the Crocs cruised through the game.

Led by the in-and-under mid-fielders Peter Bury and Troy Lehman, the Crocs charged forward early and had established a match winning lead by mid-way through the first quarter.

Dynamic small-forward Kurt Bradshaw booted 5 goals as did Kye Chapple; only Chapple’s surprising inaccuracy in front of goal prevented the star full-forward from bagging double figures.

Developing ruckman, teenager Ethan McCullough, controlled the centre-square.

The Crocs’ running-backs, led by Wes Glass, Jordan Cameron, Col Laurie and Gavin Jacks, were outstanding on the treacherous surface.

Best players: Peter Bury, Troy Lehman, Ethan McCullough, Matty Medcraft, Brett McKeown, Col Laurie and Kurt Bradshaw.

Leading goal kickers: Kye Chapple 5, Kurt Bradshaw 5, Matty Medcraft 4, Skip Gribbons 3, Wes Glass, Adam Gross, Brett McKeown and Jesse Mawson 2.
