Don’t put off bowel testing

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS -

BOWEL cancer patients in regional areas have been found to experience poorer survival rates and worse clinical management than those in metro areas, highlighting an urgent need for people to get tested.

A study reviewed 43 published research articles from 1990 to 2016. More than 3000 Queenslanders are diagnosed with bowel cancer each year, and about 1000 die from it.

Cancer Council is encouraging people over 50 to participate in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program.

Information is available at can or 13 11 20.
