RSL helps those who help others

THE RSL Moss­man Sub-Branch in con­junc­tion with the Moss­man Butcher­ing Com­pany has shown their sup­port to the lo­cal Meals-on-Wheels by do­nat­ing $500 and $150 re­spec­tively.

The Moss­man RSL have also do­nated $500 to Blue Care to as­sist with the run­ning costs of their ve­hi­cles.

Blue Care and Meals-on-Wheels have shown gen­er­ous sup­port in as­sist­ing vet­er­ans, lega­tees and the needy through­out the Dou­glas Shire.

Barry Pater­son from the RSL said he’s proud to see lo­cals sup­port­ing lo­cals.

“We raise money for com­mu­nity ac­tiv­i­ties,” Mr Pater­son said.

“The aim with both or­gan­i­sa­tions is to help peo­ple live in their own home as long as they pos­si­bly can.

“We thought we should do as much as we could, these com­mu­nity ser­vices help our friends and neigh­bours,” Mr Pater­son said.
