Mossman Mill plant avail­abil­ity was be­low bud­get for Week 9 but weekly through­put was above tar­get. The fac­tory pro­cessed 43,980 tonnes of cane at an av­er­age crush­ing rate of 323 t/hr. One ma­jor down time oc­curred late in the week which was the fail­ure of two su­per­heater loop tubes in the Thompson Boiler. This re­pair re­quired the boiler to be cooled be­fore re­pairs could be un­der­taken. No 1 Mill tur­bine gov­er­nor had an elec­tri­cal fault that also caused a lengthy stop. The Mill has con­tin­ued pro­duc­ing JA brand sugar this week. CCS for the week was 12.95. CCS av­er­age to date is 12.20. To­tal cane crushed to date: 340,932 tonnes.
