Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS - Gizelle Ghidella

THE Douglas Shire council has thanked their long serving employees in the most recent council meeting.

Fourteen Council officers were presented with Recognition Certificates for achieving the milestones of 10, 15 and 20 years of service to the Shire and the community.

Douglas Shire Mayor Julia Leu said she and council were thankful for their hard work and expertise.

“These valued star members have experienced so much in their careers and endured first amalgamation and then de-amalgamation and their knowledge and expertise has been invaluable,” Mayor Leu said.

“On behalf of Council, I would like to sincerely thank them for all of their hard work and commitment over many years and express our gratitude for their valued input to all facets of Council activities”.
