Au­gust has pro­duced strong visi­ta­tion across the Dou­glas Shire with a mix of do­mes­tic re­peat visi­tors, west­ern hemi­sphere trav­ellers, des­ti­na­tion weddings and some large con­fer­ence and in­cen­tive groups. Whilst visi­ta­tion is high TPDD is fo­cused on fu­ture cam­paign ac­tiv­ity to boost the shoul­der and sum­mer sea­sons. We are cur­rently work­ing on co-oper­a­tive op­por­tu­ni­ties with Jet­star Magazine, Hol­i­days with Kids and Aus­tralian Trav­eller as well as some ex­cit­ing so­cial me­dia ac­tiv­i­ties in­clud­ing a part­ner­ship with Jucy for a Great Bar­rier Reef Drive themed In­stameet. Be­hind the scenes we are rolling out the re­fresh­ing new des­ti­na­tion brand­ing for Tourism Port Dou­glas Dain­tree and are in the fi­nal weeks of our new con­sumer web­site build. This is an ex­cit­ing time for TPDD as we em­brace a con­sumer led brand crafted to ap­peal to our unique trav­eller mix. an­chor at 08.00 and de­part at 18.00.
