How about parking and bus transfer?

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS -

Re Rob Lapaer’s letter (17/8/17), years ago at a council meeting I suggested a parking and bus transfer service like Mossman Gorge for self drives from the south of the river to Cape Trib.

This happens in many other national parks around the world and works fine and the money goes back into the area . This also will help with traffic and speeding motorists and preventing road kills as well as more work for locals and businesses alike. It would need little planning and would boost the area with less environmental damage. Rob also states that the ferry is overpriced. If you have been to other parks and tourist destinations in Australia and around the world its quite cheap. And if you remembered back a few years there was a survey handed out to all who drove on the ferry as well as those in guided tours and over 70 per cent were more than happy to pay the fee and happy to pay more if the money went back into the area for infrastructure and buy back of more land.
