MOSS­MAN mill plant avail­abil­ity and through­put was well above bud­get for Week 19. The fac­tory pro­cessed 45,023 tonnes of cane at an av­er­age crush­ing rate of 309 t/hr. Down­time for the week was for re­pairs to a blown con­trol fuse caused from a faulty pres­sure feed chute and re­lay on No 6 Mill, shred­der re­pairs, mixed juice pump dam­aged bowl, cane bin pulling ropes and No 1 In­ter­car­rier failed wear strips. CCS was up slightly from last week. The pro­duc­tion of Brand JA sugar has con­tin­ued dur­ing the week and the mill was mak­ing Brand one as from Monday, October 16. CCS for week: 14.39. To­tal cane crushed to date: 756,518 tonnes. CCS av­er­age to date: 13.22. Crop es­ti­mate: 882,000 tonnes.
