Dain­tree draft plan

THE public has un­til Novem­ber 10 to have their say on a draft man­age­ment plan for the world her­itage listed Dain­tree Na­tional Park.

The Wet Trop­ics re­serve of 120,240 hectares takes in the pop­u­lar tourist des­ti­na­tions of Moss­man Gorge and Cape Tribu­la­tion.

Queens­land Parks and Wildlife Ser­vice (QPWS) se­nior ex­ec­u­tive direc­tor park ser­vices Geoff Clare said the QPWS had been work­ing closely with the Ja­bal­bina Yalanji Abo­rig­i­nal Corp () rep­re­sent­ing the East­ern Kuku Yalanji and West­ern Yalanji peo­ples, to de­velop the plan.
