The Trop­i­cal North Steiner School has been given the go-head from the Non-State Schools Ac­cred­i­ta­tion Board. A par­ent in­for­ma­tion ses­sion is on Satur­day, July 7, at 3.30pm at the school site (old Girl Guides site be­hind C&K kindy). Mayor Ju­lia Leu will at­tend along with guest speaker Chris Jack, board mem­ber Steiner Ed­u­ca­tion Aus­tralia and prin­ci­pal of Bi­rali Steiner School, Bris­bane. hol­i­days. The Flagstaff Hill Walk­ing Trail from Lit­tle Cove to the reser­voir is open to the public for the first time since the record March rain­fall in Port Dou­glas Mayor Ju­lia Leu said it was a credit to crews who com­pleted the work. The mid­dle sec­tion of the trail re­mains closed while geotech­ni­cal en­gi­neers work to re­pair and safe­guard da­m­aged ar­eas.
