When Brigid told Sylvia and Eric Barnes the setting for her fourth murder mystery was to be Port Douglas, they revealed it was their favourite place in the world.

Sylvia and Eric, who migrated to Australia from England in 1969, had once been Brigid’s in-laws and remained part of her life even after her divorce from their son.

Sadly, they both passed away before the book was finished; Sylvia in 2016 at age 90 and Eric earlier this year at age 92.

Brigid will honour them by releasing on the anniversary of their wedding.

The dead body of a Buddhist monk is found at the bottom of a cliff early one morning in a small town in Australia’s Far North Queensland.

Four months later with the killer still at large, Dusty Kent, investigative journalist renowned for her ability to solve cold cases, is called in.

The book is currently available for pre-order on amazon.com.
