German fun for cause

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS - Moya Stevens

IT was a very guten tag (good day) at the Mossman CWA Hall on Saturday when the local branch hosted a German Luncheon as part of international activities.

Each year, through QCWA’s affiliation with the Associated Country Women of the World organisation, the their group raises funds for a project within a country to support and assist rural women.

“We also spend that year learning about the nominated country – its culture, cuisine, history and more,” Mossman CWA secretary Margaret Dickinson said.

More than 20 people enjoyed a spread of traditional German fare.
