Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - NEWS -

THE CaPTA Group has announced it has purchased Wooroonooran Safaris.

Tropic Wings, as part of the Woodward family’s CaPTA Group, has taken over the operations of Wooroonooran Safaris, a long-established tour company that specialises in language-guided tours in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

The nature-based tours visit the largest World Heritage Wet Tropics rainforest, with itineraries for free independent travellers (FITs), private charters and groups, using current language guides and Tropic Wings’ existing fleet of high quality Yutong coaches.

CaPTA Group director of sales and marketing Ben Woodward said the acquisition complements the current offering of touring experiences that they operate.

“We are very excited by this opportunity, which ties in with the recent expansion of our coach operations,” Mr Woodward said.

“We look forward to further building on our existing relationships in the European and South American markets, working closely with our longstanding partners to show guests around another pristine part of our region and further develop language guided tours.”

CaPTA Group is locally owned and operated by the Woodward family of Cairns and consists of Rainforestation Nature Park, Tropic Wings Coach Tours, Jungle Tours and Trekking, The Wildlife Habitat, Cairns ZOOM and Wildlife Dome, Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, ABC Sales and Maintenance and Careers Training Centre and Wooroonooran Safaris.
