A mu­si­cal Re­mem­brance

The sign­ing of the Armistice that marked the end of World War I came into ef­fect on No­vem­ber 11, 1918, at 11am, which is 4pm lo­cal time.

So at 4pm on No­vem­ber 11, the Perth Sym­phonic Cho­rus and WA Phil­har­monic Or­ches­tra will mark the mo­ment with a spe­cial Re­mem­brance Day con­cert at the Perth Con­cert Hall.

The pro­gram will in­clude the Fauré Re­quiem and Vaughan Wil­liams’ stir­ring Dona no­bis pacem, with soloists so­prano Sara Ma­cliver and Christo­pher Richard­son.

Ac­tor Igor Sas will present a nar­ra­tion to pro­jec­tions of his­toric pho­tos.

The RSL WA and Army Mu­seum will present a dis­play of war mem­o­ra­bilia and com­mem­o­ra­tive items in the foyer and fore­court.
