A musical Remembrance
The signing of the Armistice that marked the end of World War I came into effect on November 11, 1918, at 11am, which is 4pm local time.
So at 4pm on November 11, the Perth Symphonic Chorus and WA Philharmonic Orchestra will mark the moment with a special Remembrance Day concert at the Perth Concert Hall.
The program will include the Fauré Requiem and Vaughan Williams’ stirring Dona nobis pacem, with soloists soprano Sara Macliver and Christopher Richardson.
Actor Igor Sas will present a narration to projections of historic photos.
The RSL WA and Army Museum will present a display of war memorabilia and commemorative items in the foyer and forecourt.
