This bike began life as the Beru F1 Systems Factor001 in 2009. Beru F1 is a British motorsports irm making advanced electronics built into carbon components, such as F1 steering wheels. Beru decided to build a bike to showcase what they do, so the Factor001 could measure and record your skin and core temperatures, breathing rate and heart beat trace. It also had a dual-sided power meter and hydraulic disc brakes. The bike cost £25,000 and a special edition for Aston Martin followed. Beru had inspired themselves and launched a developed version as the Factor Vis Vires in 2013 but lacked commitment to and experience of cycling and it faded from view. Baden Cooke and Rob Gitelis bought Factor Bikes in September 2015 and immediately set about reinvigorating it. Factor sponsored One Pro Cycling in 2016 and will supply Ag2r La Mondiale in 2017.
