The pelo­ton and team car con­voy pass along the Anadolu High­way, Is­tan­bul, on the inal stage of the Pres­i­den­tial Tour of Turkey. In the dis­tance is the Yavuz Sul­tan Se­lim Bridge which crosses the Bospho­rous Strait link­ing Europe and Asia. Opened in 2016, it stands 322 me­tres high and is 56 me­tres wide, with its cre­ators de­scrib­ing it as the tallest and widest sus­pen­sion bridge in the world. 2017 was the 53rd edi­tion of the Tour of Turkey, with UAE Emi­rates rider Diego Ulissi tak­ing the vic­tory at the end of the six-stage race. The Ital­ian took con­trol on the only moun­tain­ous day on stage four. Sam Ben­nett took four sprint vic­to­ries, be­fore Dy­lan Te­uns in­ally got the bet­ter of the Ir­ish­man on the inal day in Is­tan­bul
