3T was originally known as Tecnologia del Tubo Torinese, or Turin Tube Technology, which was irst abbreviated to 3TTT and then, in 2000, o icially renamed 3T. The company was founded in 1961, and at irst specialised in handlebars. They were renowned for the iconic Superleggero bar, and also for developing the cowhorn bar used by Francesco Moser for his 1984 Hour Record and in the peloton in time trials as a whole from then until tri-bars took over in 1989. The move into carbon ibre technology saw them supplying components to the CSC team for whom Carlos Sastre won the Tour de France in 2008, and for Fabian Cancellara’s Olympic gold medal in the time trial the same year. And in the last decade, they have moved into wheel production and inally bike construction. Their Exploro gravel bike was a successful foray into the recent craze for fast o f-road riding. And with the Strada, and its USP of a single chainring, 3T have been faithful to their original ethos of elegant and e icient engineering.
