3T was orig­i­nally known as Tec­nolo­gia del Tubo Tori­nese, or Turin Tube Tech­nol­ogy, which was irst ab­bre­vi­ated to 3TTT and then, in 2000, o icially re­named 3T. The com­pany was founded in 1961, and at irst spe­cialised in han­dle­bars. They were renowned for the iconic Su­per­leg­gero bar, and also for de­vel­op­ing the cowhorn bar used by Francesco Moser for his 1984 Hour Record and in the pelo­ton in time tri­als as a whole from then un­til tri-bars took over in 1989. The move into car­bon ibre tech­nol­ogy saw them sup­ply­ing com­po­nents to the CSC team for whom Car­los Sas­tre won the Tour de France in 2008, and for Fabian Can­cel­lara’s Olympic gold medal in the time trial the same year. And in the last decade, they have moved into wheel pro­duc­tion and in­ally bike con­struc­tion. Their Ex­ploro gravel bike was a suc­cess­ful foray into the re­cent craze for fast o f-road rid­ing. And with the Strada, and its USP of a sin­gle chain­ring, 3T have been faith­ful to their orig­i­nal ethos of el­e­gant and e icient en­gi­neer­ing.
