ClaireCau-Cecile is a Melbourne girl whose love affair with France began when she married a Frenchman back in 1999. The couple return to France each year with their two bilingual children. Claire always seizes the opportunity to visit the flea markets and source authentic, original pieces of brocante for her store, L’echoppe de Marius 1910.

Claire opened L’echoppe as a pop-up store in Melbourne in 2014, when she teamed up with florist Nigel Johnston. Now, Nigel Johnston’s permanent floristry, Nigelle’s Flowers, in Middle Park, continues to be a showroom for L’echoppe, displaying Claire’s vintage finds in amongst Nigel’s beautiful floral arrangements.
