Belle Brocante - Vieille Branche
Each edition, Jennie Sharpe will hunt out a collection of old French treasures. This autumn, she’s discovered a beautiful array of vintage finds in friendly Brisbane boutique Vieille Branche.
Inside an innocent-looking warehouse in the Brisbane suburb of Albion, there lies a treasure trove. Owners Jen and JC have created a veritable Aladdin’s Cave of French brocante finds from JC’s homeland of Normandy. Named Vieille Branche (“old mate”), this friendly store offers products ranging from rustic French farm furniture to Industrial French 1900’s to Provincial French, and everything in between.
Even if you’re not on the hunt for that long-dreamed of French gem, this is also the perfect setting to catch up over a coffee or throw a party… Vieille Branche houses a coffee shop and its beautiful space and antique items are available for hire for every kind of occasion, from weddings to photo shoots. Plus, you can brush up on your French here too, with twiceweekly language classes.
