Qantas - - Qnews. -

Australia is far from being the most populous country in the world, yet Qantas has become the largest carbon offsetter of any airline on the planet, thanks to the support of its passengers. Your donations, from as little as 83 cents (if you are flying from Sydney to the Gold Coast), go towards international conservation efforts such as controlling potentially devastating wildfires in Western Australia’s Kimberley region or preserving rainforest in Papua New Guinea. Since the launch of Qantas Future Planet (qantasfuture a decade ago, the national carrier has offset more than 2.5 million tonnes of carbon emissions – a feat to celebrate as we observe World Environment Day in June.
