What’s your favourite place in regional Australia?

Easily Hervey Bay in Queensland because of the balmy weather, relaxed lifestyle, excellent local seafood and pristine beaches. With whales passing though between July and November, there are amazing whalewatching tours, too.

Beach? One Mile Beach in Forster on the Mid North Coast of NSW. It has excellent surfing conditions, grand sandhills and an awesome beach kiosk.

Culture shot? The National Gallery of Australia in Canberra. The artwork is so diverse and exhibits the best of what our nation has to offer.

Produce? Oysters from Tasmania, barramundi from Cairns and crayfish from Port Lincoln, South Australia.

Restaurant? Margan in NSW’s Hunter Valley because of its focus on using seasonal regional produce paired with its own wines. Experience? Helicopter sightseeing over spectacular Cape Leveque in Western Australia.
