Kooroomba Vineyards & Lavendar Farm
WITH incredible views of the Scenic Rim, Kooroomba gives a feeling of the South of France and is a great day out. Consisting of a restaurant, shop and cellar door, this six hectare vineyard and lavender field is getting a good reputation amongst foodies in the region.
Ironbark Ridge Vineyard
AS pictured on the cover of this issue, Ironbark Ridge Vineyard has a cellar door open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Situated at Purga, south west of Ipswich, Ironbark Ridge features great views and has been trading since the mid 1980’s. All the vines were planted by hand and features a rich history.
Flinders Peak Winery
YOU need to make an appointment for this one, open Friday to Sundays only. All the fruit is grown, the wine is made and even bottled by hand on the site. With 20 on-site two bedroom villa, its also a great place to stay for a romantic wine-filled getaway.
Barney Creek Vineyard
WITH over 1000 vines planted on 1.5 acres, the panoramic view of this spot is amazing. Producing over 2000 bottles a year, you’ll find dry reds, rose and sparkling wines, along with a tasting room.
WET YOUR WHISTLE: You’ll find everything from vineyards, to cellar doors and great places to eat this weekend
