EVERY day we are finding new things in Ipswich that cut out the need to what traditionally would involve a drive up the Centenary.
For example, did you know that there’s a brand in Ipswich that carries the exact same range that you’d normally drive to Myer or David Jones for?
Colleen Diesing loves Elizabeth Arden. She really, really loves it.
She’s been the local expert for over 20 years in Ipswich. These days you’ll find her managing the Elizabeth Arden department at Healthyworld Pharmacy Riverlink.
“I was at the Redbank Plaza pharmacy for 10 years before I moved here to the Riverlink store, and I’ve just clocked up 10 years here!” Colleen said.
“When the plans came to move to Riverlink the owners asked what I liked to work with and I told them Elizabeth Arden because of what they represent.
“I love their heritage and what they stand for. They are a skin care based company whereas others are based on fashion. If you want to look after your skin then they are the professionals.”
Colleen knows the full history of the brand, including the fact the Miss Arden opened the first day spa in New York way back in 1909.
“They backup what they say, and I’ve seen the results over the years with my clients. I have lots of customers who have been coming to me for years and this time last year I got an award from Elizabeth Arden for State Pharmacy Beauty Consultant of the Year, which was a pleasant surprise,” Colleen said.
“I’ve done some great things over the years for our VIP clients, some of who have been with us for five, 10 years and more. Christmas is special time for my clients, treating them to a three course dinner last year, because I endeavour to make my clients feel special inside and out.
“The majority come to me for skin care and make-up. Sometimes they may say to me their skin has broken out, and what can they do about it. My face wouldn’t be what it is today without these products, and I say that from the heart.”
Gents, listen up. Colleen also believes that men should moisturise too, and she loves that fact that all Elizabeth Arden products are unisex products.
“If I had to choose one product that everyone should have I would try the Eight Hour Cream. You won’t be disappointed. I think it’s the eighth wonder of the world. One of these is sold every minute of every day around the world. You can use it on anything, eyebrows, elbows, cracked skin…it helps everything.
“We are a Full Line account in Ipswich, that mean s that we stock everything that you’d see in a Myer or David Jones. Why drive to Brisbane?
“I love my job,” Colleen said, “and I wouldn’t be doing it for 20 years if I didn’t believe in the products.”
