Based on Daphne Du Maurier’s classic novel, My Cousin Rachel stars Rachel Weisz in the titular role of the Victorian femme fatale. Orphaned at a young age, Phillip Ashley (Sam Claflin) lives a comfortable life under the guardianship of his wealthy older cousin, Ambrose (Iain Glen), until he gets a letter from his cousin detailing his declining health and ill treatment by his wife, Rachel. Ambrose asks Phillip to visit – and he arrives to find his cousin has died and Rachel has left. Believing Rachel has poisoned Ambrose for his money, Phillip soon finds himself as confused by Rachel as his dead guardian.

This dark romance was last adapted for the screen in 1952 and starred Olivia de Havilland and Richard Burton.
