Researchers at the University of Manchester in the UK have developed a membrane that can filter out common salts, effectively turning seawater into clean, drinkable water. While studies are ongoing to determine if the technique can be applied on an industrial scale, this significant breakthrough could revolutionise desalinisation and water-filtration efforts across the globe.
