What They Had (Drama)

This is the story of a family working to understand what their mother’s Alzheimer’s means to their own lives.

Hilary Swank plays Bridget who, at the urging of her brother Nicky (Michael Shannon), returns to her hometown following an incident when their mother Ruth (Blythe Danner) wanders into a blizzard. Bridget and Nicky must convince their father Burt (Robert Forster) to put Ruth into a nursing home. But Burt is very reluctant to let go of his life with Ruth.

Audiences will relate to the characters’ love, compassion and humour in dealing with each other at such a critical time.
