We moved back into the house af­ter the bulk of the ren­o­va­tions were com­plete, but the kitchen was yet to be fin­ished and the per­gola still had to be built, along with a few other smaller jobs. This meant that we still had tradies around from seven in the morn­ing – when we were all get­ting our day started – un­til well into the af­ter­noon. So if you can get on their good side, with lots of cof­fee and even cases of beer half­way through and at the end of the process, it all helps.
