Sabbath legend lists kits, cymbals and more
Bill Ward has listed an almighty bunch of gear including drum kits, cymbals, heads and more as part of a sale atReverb.com.
“Whoever gets this gear will get good karma,” says the Black Sabbath drum icon of the incredible haul. “I really hope the new owners will be able to feel the energy of it.”
Among the kits up for grabs is a seven-piece Ludwig Black Oyster Pearl set-up, of which Ward says: “I got it as a birthday present years ago.All the tonal qualities are really good, the tom sounds on it are just amazing. Whoever gets this, it’s probably going to last them a ■ long, long time.”
The gear available includes cymbals played by Ward between 1968 and 1978, kits played throughout his career with Sabbath and projects such as the Bill Ward Band, and heads and sticks used in recent years.
At the time of writing there are 212 listings within ■ the sale, including a set of Zildjian cymbals priced at ■ just shy of £24,000.There’s also a Premier Elite kit, a vintage Ludwig snare and Rogers bass pedals, amongst many, many more drum treats.
