Novem­ber show marks Rich an­niver­sary

Even as the ink is dry­ing on our Buddy Rich trib­ute is­sue, we can con­firm that Brit drum star Ian Palmer and US jazz-funk leg­end Mike Clark will be team­ing up in a special Main Stage per­for­mance hon­our­ing Rich in what would be his 100th birth­day year. Palmer, who or­gan­ises the Bud­dythemed World’s Great­est Drum­mer shows, has as­sem­bled a star band and will be link­ing up with the Head hun­ters leg­end in a special Satur­day LDS per­for­mance, that will also fea­ture some Her­bie Han­cock num­bers.

Mean­while more great drum and gear com­pa­nies are be­ing added to the ex­hibitor ros­ter ev­ery day. Is­tan­bul Ag op, Ahead, Mer­cury Hear­ing, Cus­tom Fit Guards, Trin­ity Col­lege Lon­don and Nick Hop­kin’s Vin­tage Drums Leg­endary Sounds are among the very lat­est to sign up for the show. They join Tama, Zild­jian, Na­tal, Roland, Bri­tish Drum Co and loads of other great brands to be found at Olympia on Novem­ber 11-12.
