I would describe my drumming style as…

“A collection of everything I love and listen to!Intense and lively but hopefully tasteful to the song.”

I use...

“I prefer 10/16/22 with a 14" drum hammered snare. I use Meinl cymbals, a Roland SPDSX, Tama Hardware, Iron Cobras, and Vic Drumphones.”

The secret of playing drums well is…

“Practise. Listen. Practise. Enjoy it. Practise.”

My first drum set was…

“A Kent drum kit with some Zyn cymbals that was my dad’s. I loved drums as a baby and I played until I was six years’ old. My first teacher at school put me off drums by smashing the kit in front of me and not leting me put my hands over my ears. After a break some friends asked me to play in their band, and within minutes we were playing ‘Basket Case’.”

Bonham is a given, but my favourite drummers ever are…

“Benny Grebb, Aaron Spears, Ben Gillies, Ben Harclerode, Pete Howard, Brad Fickeinsen, Eric Moore, Matt Garstka and Was Keely.”

Self-taught or lessons?

“I’m self taught, but did my Grade 8 with my friend Jimmy Roman who plays for Deborah Bonham.”

The best drumming advice I’ve ever been given is…

“Relax! And play to a click.”

What I’m up to right now is…

“Mask of Judas just released our debut album The

Mesmerist–the single ‘The Conspirator’ is on YouTube. Aliases also have our album Derangeable out as well.”
