Whether it’s deep pocket funk, swampy roots grooves or creative fills, Pat Petrillo can not only play it with conviction, but can communicate it with a deep knowledge and passion for teaching. He has performed and recorded with a wide variety of artists in numerous genres, including singers Gloria Gaynor, Patti LaBelle, Constantine Maroulis, guitarist Oz Noy, and many more.
Chris has been a keen drummer since the tender age of 10, and this year marks his 24th year behind the kit. Born into primarily a punk, rock and metal background, Chris’s style and technical ability quickly developed and soon branched out into the world of pop, funk, blues and world music. He’s currently playing with UK metal outfit Heart Of A Coward.
Chris is a seasoned player with a wealth of experience; and when he isn’t playing, he is a full-time educator at the Rhythm Room music school in his home town of Milton Keynes.
Regular readers of these pages will be familiar with our very own Mr Woolway, who has taught thousands of drummers through his Drumsense programme and his long-running Rhythm columns. You can catch Colin doing what he does best live on the Education Stage at 14:00 on Sunday 11th November.
Oli Wiseman has toured the world, performing some of the biggest venues on the planet as the live drummer for Anne-Marie. His approach to replicating electronic beats live using a hybrid acoustic/electronic setup defines the role of a session drummer in 2018. Oli will be performing on the Education Stage at 12:15 on Sunday 11th November.
