Safety comes first for Hills

Rouse Hill Times - - NEWS -

THE Hills Shire Council has said it was very concerned about the quality of some private certifiers after an apartment complex in Castle Hill was found to have serious fire safety deficiencies.

The council now wants the NSW Government to review the Building Professionals Board and its code of conduct for private certifiers. “I want to see higher penalties for those who fail to inspect a property and sign off on substandard work,” The Hills Mayor Yvonne Keane said.
