CHILDREN enjoyed the sheer excitement of being an actor, singer and dancer during the interactive workshops inspired by the Matilda Extravaganza at the Rouse Hill Town Centre last week.

StarTime’s four-day workshop, inspired by the award winning musical, had the children singing well-known hits such as When I Grow Up and Naughty.

The workshop featured professional-style choreography and scenes from the show, where participants were exposed to character work, stagecraft, ensemble and tricks of the trade.

This week’s activities at the centre include the Science Spectacular with Professor Dinglesplodge from 11.30am and the Minecraft Masters from 2pm.

The annual Rouse Hill Billy Cart Derby takes to Main St on Saturday from 10am to 2pm.

In the lead-up to the derby is a billy cart decoration workshop, 10am to 2pm today.
