Rouse Hill Times - - NEWS -

NOMINATIONS are now being called for Blacktown City’s corporate citizen of the year.

The award recognises an individual with a business in the Blacktown City area who has made an outstanding contribution to the community or achieved great success in their business and/or industry.

“Council last year reinstituted the corporate citizen of the year — an award that had unfortunately lain idle since 2006,” said Blacktown Mayor Stephen Bali.

“The 2016 Blacktown City Council corporate citizen of the year was John Velcich, the founder of Red Lea Chickens,’’ Mr Bali said.

To nominate yourself or another a member of the business community, complete the form on Council’s website.

All nominations are to be emailed to council@blacktown.nsw.gov.au or sent via post to PO Box 63, Blacktown 2148.
