KR stands for a King’s Ransom
Tim Sheens has been told he can break the bank to help make Hull KR a force . . . if they avoid the drop from Super League this season. Chairman Neil Hudgell has confirmed he will make money available to recruit a “marquee player” — an A-lister who only has part of his wages counted on the £1.8m ($3.1m) salary cap. Sheens has plenty of contacts from his time in charge of Wests Tigers and the Kangaroos.
