‘IT WAS DEAD-SET CHAOS’

What stands out for you about the 2003 Kangaroo tour?

That first Ashes Test was an amazing experience, mate. To play at DW Stadium there at Wigan, it’s not a huge stadium — it probably holds 30,000 — but the atmosphere there was second to none. It felt like there were 80,000 there. That was the game that big Moz [Adrian Morley] got sent off in the first tackle — it was dead-set chaos. I scored a try in that game, following through a [Darren Lockyer] kick, which of course he put on a dime. The parents, brothers and my best mate were there too, which made it even more special.
