Sunshine Coast Falcons
RLW prediction: Premiers
2016 finish: Finals week three Coach Craig Ingebrigtsen: “We made a big progression last year and now we believe we are serious contenders to win the competition. The exciting thing is that we have a good core of blokes who have been there a few years and new guys in key positions, like Guy Hamilton, who was in the Bulldogs system, at halfback. We’ve got a big pack this year with Dane Hogan, Scott Anderson and Harrison Muller. We were out-muscled at the back end of last year, but we won’t be this year.”
Player to watch: “Kevin Locke [pictured] has played eight Tests for his country and at his best is a top-end NRL player. At this level, someone with his raw speed will hurt the opposition. We’re looking forward to giving him the opportunity to get his body right. He is bouncing around and excited to be here which is a fantastic sign for us.”
KEY GAINS: Kevin Locke (Wakefield), Scott Anderson (Wakefield), Haydan Lipp (Ipswich Jets), Liam McDonald (Easts Tigers), Dane Hogan (Easts Tigers), Guy Hamilton (Easts Tigers)
KEY LOSSES: Nafe Seluini (retired).
