Choc shock: I’m pulling on the Red V again
HE MAY BE ON THE WRONG SIDE of 40 and still licking his wounds from his controversial loss to Danny Green last Friday night but Anthony Mundine has already set himself a new sporting goal. “Choc” wants to play for the Dragons in the 2018 Nines, donning the Big Red V for the first time since 2000. Mundine, now 41, was one of the game’s real showmen before he quit league for boxing and is still a superbly fit athlete. Brad Fittler made a famous cameo appearance for the Roosters a couple of years ago at age 42 and was not out of his depth – and Mundine is telling mates he is still fit and fast enough to do damage on the rugby league field.
