Why are all airliners white?

Science Illustrated - - ASK US -

As passengers leave a large plane in the airport, it is often a challenge to keep the aircraft cool. A white plane body reflects more solar radiation, keeping the temperature down. The white colour also protects the aircraft against UV light, which is more powerful at high altitudes.
