WIND IN YOUR HAIR. STUNNING VISTAS. GREAT CONVERSATION. THAT’S WHAT ACE TOURS AND TRANSFERS IS ALL ABOUT. Storey Bridge, Brisbane
Kenn Holmes knows the Gold Coast and the Gold Coast knows Kenn. This affable guy has worked in many of the city’s most popular tourist spots and accommodation houses in his 30-year history in the local tourism industry. Some of Kenn’s claims to fame include showing John Travolta and Mariah Carey around various Gold Coast attractions. So it was a natural and organic progression for Kenn to share his local knowledge with interested travellers via his new business, ACE Tours and Transfers.
Kenn’s tours and transfers are anything but ordinary. “ACE” is an acronym for “Australian Convertible Experiences” and Kenn’s business centres around his uber-cool black Holden Cascada – a topless beauty offering the largest footprint of any comparable convertible car, providing heaps of legroom for up to three guests at any one time. And, of course, a little bit of wind through your hair! “We offer day tours to iconic locations like Byron Bay, O’reillys, Tweed Heads, Tamborine and the Scenic Rim, even Australia Zoo,” Kenn explains. “We like to stay off the highway, preferring the rainforest and beachfront where possible.
“And we also offer transfers to any local accommodation houses, or even two-to-six-day tours between here and Sydney.”
Kenn’s approach to his business is one of complete flexibility. He’s more than willing to accommodate his clients’ requirements and offers his own additional ideas, while leveraging his many industry connections for bookings and upgrades, to ensure the best possible bitumen adventures.
