Avenel and Nagambie’s top tier football and netball teams faced off in Saturday’s KDFNL grand finals, and the season deciders didn’t disappoint. Nagambie overcame Avenel in the seniors to claim its 11th KDFL crown, while Avenel was victorious in the A-grade netball.

It was a mixed bag for other local teams, with Avenel’s B-grade, and Nagambie’s reserves football and under-17 netball claiming the premiership, while the Lakers’ B-grade, C-grade and under-15 outfits came up just short.
