Make a deposit at blood bank

Seymour Telegraph - - NEWS -

They say money makes the world go around, but it’s blood that keeps people going around.

So if you’re up for a cuppa, a bikkie and a little rest, consider donating blood when the Blood Service visits Puckapunyal at the end of the month.

People of all walks of life need blood products.

Some need it to get them through a serious event in their lives, like cancer or a dangerous pregnancy.

Others have medical conditions which mean they need blood products regularly to stay alive or be healthy.

People who are in good health and aged between 16 and 70 can generally donate blood, with some exceptions such as women who have recently given birth or intravenous drug users.

A simple online questionnaire will clarify your eligibility.

The Blood Service’s mobile donor centre will be at Guard House Carpark, 10 Blamey Ave, Puckapunyal. Appointments are available each day of the week Monday, January 30 to Friday February 2.
